Summer Wanderlust

With the official end of summer approaching way too fast, the urge to squeeze in a final escapade to some exotic white sandy beach keeps pulsing. I find myself quickly scrambling to plan any last minute summer getaways while summer is still here. How else is one to hold on to summer than a nice little trip by the beach? Lucky for us in LA, a heat wave decided to show up which surely will preserve summer just a tad longer.

Three ways to tie a scarf

We must say: in the chilly autumn and winter weather, scarves are a girl's best friend. We love the many, many ways you can style scarves - here, we're going to show you three of our favorite styles using our Going In Dots Scarf. 

#1 Infinity Style

Wrap the scarf around your neck so that the ends hang in the front.

Tie the ends together in a little knot.

Adjust the knot so that it is towards the back of your neck. Fluff the scarf and voila!

#2 Through The Loop

Fold the scarf in half so that it creates a loop.

Drape it along the back of your neck so that the loop is on one side and the ends are on the other.

Insert the ends of the scarf through the loop.

Fluff the scarf a bit and enjoy your cute scarf.

#3 Triangle

Fold the scarf in half to create a square.

Fold the square diagonally to create a triangle.

Tie the ends behind your neck.

Easy peasy!

Meet&Greet Kayley from Sidewalk Ready

With her effortless style and inspiring hairstyles, our latest Meet&Greet feature is none other than Kayley from Sidewalk Ready. Over the past few months we had the pleasure of getting to know Kayley and here's what we discovered:

-Tell us about Sidewalk Ready.

Sidewalk Ready is a style blog geared towards everyday women. It is my passion to put together realistic and fashionable outfits! I buy my clothing on a budget, typically from mall stores, and put them together in fun ways that others can hopefully get inspiration from. Ever since I discovered my personal style, I've felt so much more confident, and I hope that I can motivate my readers to do that for themselves!

-Best part about blogging

The networking! I'm so excited about all of the new people I've met. I had no idea how big the fashion blogging community was when I started Sidewalk Ready! Connecting with other bloggers has been an awesome source of encouragement and inspiration. 

-Best style tip/advice

Keep it simple. This is something I learned from my mom, and I consider it invaluable. I absolutely believe in the statement "less is more".

-What's your go-to accessories?

A stack of bracelets and a simple necklace, typically in either gold or silver.  I also use my accessories as a way to add pops of color to neutral outfits so I always am looking for fun statement pieces!

-Your favorite item from the shoot

The blue, woven clutch. I can't wait to pair it with sundresses and espadrilles this summer!

-Your blogger crush is...

Blair from Atlantic-Pacific. She can pull anything off and always look flawless and polished. I'm obsessed with her ability to layer clothing and accessories and never look over done!

-Fun fact about yourself

I could eat Chipotle everyday. The spicier the better!
